We will provide three different custom formats (SQLite file, JSON, CSV). These will contain ALL information you put in our apps.
As of now, there is no official format for importing into Trakt or other similar services/apps, so there is no direct way to use these files as-is. We'll try to implement unofficial import formats, even if they are a bit cumbersome to use.
We'll also provide as much information as possible to other developers in order to make importing data to new services a possibility.
As we were ourselves users of our products, we sympathize with this struggle. We have found no perfect replacement.

Sadly, no. The apps were already monetized and we had already stripped down the costs of keeping it up as much as possible, but unfortunately that wasn't enough. Moreover, as you may have seen, the servers were already struggling for some time, and would require replacement.
Finally, this stopped being a full time job for us a couple of years ago: even excluding the financial aspect, the time investment would be too big for us at this point in our lives.
Both the apps and the server components were tailored to our infrastructure and protocols. In hindsight, this was not the right way of building it.
Unfortunately, open-sourcing the apps in a way that makes them usable is borderline impossible.
We are thinking of making a new app, completely open-source that will store all its information locally in a file (similar to how KeePass works). This wouldn't require any server on our part, as they app would only depend on TVDB/TMDB for data.
We haven't actually started yet, so we cannot provide any timeline or guarantee it will actually happen.
We'll unpublish them. They should remain installable for those who already downloaded them from the "Manage apps" section of the Play Store.
